The MMD Population View provides a user friendly way to explore and better understand disparities in chronic diseases, and allows users to: 1) visualize health outcome measures at a national, state, or county level; 2) explore health outcome measures by age, race and ethnicity, sex; 3) compare differences between two geographic locations (e.g., benchmark against the national average); and 4) compare differences between two racial and ethnic groups within the same geographic area. (Use of the Chrome browser is recommended.)

The Mapping Medicare disparities tool is composed of an interactive visualization driven through drop-down menus which follow this section. Users seeking an accessible experience should make selections to filter the population of interest, perform analyses, or change time periods and then download the data. For an accessible experience users should not proceed beyond the "download data" button. Proceeding further does not benefit users of assistive technology and assistive technology will not read elements meaningfully beyond that "download data" button.
What follows is a series of menus which allow you to choose measures, filter populations, and create basic comparative analyses. All menus are drop-down single-selections which either provide filter functionality of measure selection. After selecting measures, filtering, and creating an analysis if desired, a download button is available to export county-level data of the measure selected. This export is a comma separated value file. The result is also displayed in a map of the United States, colored according to their relative measure values.
